How to install free AVG Antivirus - Remove Norton / McAffee

Norton and McAffee anti-virus software are both very popular and used widely, but they both tend to make computers run slower and more often then not interfere with the connection between neurofeedback software and games.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is an excellent alternative that is light on system resource usage and has been tested to work successfully. EEG Info install AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition on all of our pre-configured systems.


How to remove Norton / McAffee anti-virus software

To remove a program that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.    
2. In the Currently installed programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove.    
3. If you are prompted to confirm the removal of the program, click Yes.  
*Computer will Need to restart after this program has been removed from your machine.
After machine has restarted proceed to step 2

If you are using a previous Version uninstall it. Reboot the computer and then download and install the new version.

Click on Download
Firefox browser: Save and then Open, then double click on the file that you saved
Internet explorer browser: Click "Run"

Update AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
After installation you will be prompted to update AVG

It is recommended that you turn on automatic updates, alternatively: 
Right Click on the AVG icon located Next to the clock in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and Click Update Now.
