Manually Adjusting Windows DVD AutoPlay Windows 7
Click on Windows Start Button
Type "AutoPlay" in the search box and press "Enter"
Change Settings:
DVD Movie: Take no action
Enhanced DVD movie: Take no action
Click on Save

Windows Vista

Insert a DVD Movie into the drive
Close any automatic player windows that open
Click on Windows Start Button
Click on Computer
Right Click on the DVD drive (with a DVD disc in it)
Click on Open Auto Play
(or when you put a disc in you will see the option below)
Click on set AutoPlay defaults in Control Panel
Click on the drop down menu's
DVD Movie: Take no action
Enhanced DVD movie: Take no action
Click on Save

Must have a DVD loaded into the drive

Click on Windows Start Button
Cick on Computer
Right Click on DVD Drive
Click on Properties
Click on AutoPlay Tab
Click on drop down menu(s) for DVD movie and HD DVD movie
Click on Select Action to Perform
Click on Take No Action
Click on Apply
Repeat Select Action to Perform & Take No Action for HD DVD movie
Click Apply
Click Ok
