If Inner Tube / Particle Editor crashes during program load you may need to update or install audio drivers, or you may have a problem with you RAM.
If you do not hear any sounds / music from your computer during daily use, or are not sure that your computer has ever played music or made sounds (such as when windows starts or shuts down) please reinstall the audio drivers. If you have a custom assembled computer these will be on the disk for the motherboard of your computer. If you have a namebrand computer such as Dell, Compaq, HP, Sony, etc. you probably will not need to reinstall your audio drivers.
If you suspect you have a RAM problem you can try replacing your RAM or do a google search for RAM tester, and run a test on your computer's RAM.
You may also want to try updating your video card if your video card has not been updated.
