How to change the music in particle editor, change mp3 files
Step 1:Set up Windows Media Player to Rip in mp3 format.This only needs to be done once unless you change the format for some reason.
-Start Windows Media Player.
-Click Tools in the top menu bar, then Options, then Rip Music.If a menu bar is not visible, right click on the black menu bar to bring it up.
-Click the Change button.
-Click successively My Computer, Local Disk (C:), Program Files, Cygnet, feedback, Particle Editor, audio in the browse menu.
-Click OK.
-Click on the down arrow at the right hand end of the Format dropdown menu.
-Click mp3.
-Uncheck the box labeled Rip CD when inserted.
-Move the audio quality slider to the highest quality (right hand) end.
-Click OK to store these settings.
Step 2:Rip the music you want to use in Particle Editor.
-Start up Windows Media Player (unless it is already running from Step 1).
-Insert the CD in the drive.
-Click the Rip button.(If you haven’t already inserted a CD, you will be prompted to do so).
-Initially, all tracks will be selected (checked).Uncheck any you don’t want to rip.
-Click the Start Rip button at the lower right.You can follow the progress in the Rip Status column of the display.
-If you want to rip additional CDs, insert the next one and continue.Otherwise close Windows Media Player.
Step 3:Use music for Particle Editor feedback.
-Start Cygnet.
-Open the feedback dropdown menu and click Particle Editor.
-A set of game images will be shown.Click on the one to which you want to assign music.
-Move your cursor to the game screen (second monitor).
-Click on Settings in the top menu bar, then Music.
-A background music selection box will pop up on the therapist screen, so move your cursor back there.
-Click Select Audio File.
-The music you ripped will appear in the selection menu, along with the standard music supplied with Cygnet.You will see one or more folders with artist names.Double clicking on one of these will show one or more folders with album names.Double clicking on one of these will show a list of tracks.Select one and click Open (or double click on it).
-Click OK.
-You have now associated that music with the game you selected earlier.It will play in a continuous loop during the game.
