Allowing Internet Access (required for proper program functionality)

If you allow Windows, Norton, or another firewall to "Block" BioExplorer you will block BioExplorer's ability to send information to Particle Editor / Inner Tube (they will not work after this). If you "Block" Particle Editor, Inner Tube, or WebUpdateSvc, you will not receive free, important, updates to Inner Tube / Particle Editor.

If you see a window like either of the following appear you must click "Unblock" or "Always allow connections" to let BioExplorer, Inner Tube, Particle Editor and Auto WebUpdate to work.

Click "Unblock"

Change the drop down to "Always allow connections"

Click "Unblock" Change the drop down to "Permit Always"

If you already clicked block you need to unblock these programs.

Windows Firewall

  1. Go to Control Panel then click Security Center.
  2. Under "Manage security settings for:" Click "Windows Firewall".
  3. Click the "Exceptions" tab.
  4. Make sure the Somatic Vision Particle Editor, Somatic Vision Inner Tube and BioExplorer check boxes are all checked.

Norton Internet Security

  1. Open Norton Internet Security.
  2. Click Personal Firewall.
  3. Click the "Configure" button.
  4. Click the "Programs" tab.
  5. Choose "Permit All" for BioExplorer & Web Update Wizard.
