Adjusting Standby , Hibernation and Sleep settings in Windows
Views: 1581
Allowing Windows to Hibernate, Sleep or Standby while running Neurofeedback software can cause problems with your software and shoud be avoided.

If using a laptop, external power should always be used during a session to ensure there won't be any interuptions due to a battery depleting or power failure.

To adjust Standby, Hibernation and Sleep settings:

  1. Right click on your windows desktop and choose Properties
  2. Click on the Screen Save tab
  3. Click on the Power button
  4. Adjust turn monitor off setting to anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes.
  5. Adjust turn off hard disks setting to Never or at least 60 minutes.
If you have a laptop, you may want to set your mobile settings to more conservative settings, but we recommend you plug-in your laptop while performing a session.
