Recommendations on Graphics Processors for Notebooks and Laptops for use with Neurofeedback Games
Views: 1811

If you are planning on using a Laptop or Notebook computer for neurofeedback, you will want to make sure you are using or purchasing a computer with an appropriate level of graphics power that will be able to handle Neurofeedback games.

Integrated Graphics Processors

Many notebooks today come with Integrated Graphics Processors. These integrated processors are low in cost and good for surfing the web and general Office applications but are not intended for 3D gaming and other graphics heavy applications. Integrated Graphics processors are generally NOT sufficient for use with Neurofeedback games and should be avoided.

Mobile Video Cards

Mobile video cards offer many benefits over Integrated Graphics Processors. They have their own dedicated memory to use, and will not share with your main system RAM as a standard integrated card will. Mobile video cards have technologies that smooth out video playback and DVDs and will perform much better for dual display setups and 3D applications such as games. These cards generally will work very well for Neurofeedback games.
