How to Install NeuroAmp Drivers for Use With Cygnet Software - Windows XP - Video Tutorial

These instructions apply only if you have already installed the Cygnet software. The NeuroAmp drivers are installed along with the software and you should proceed only once the software is properly installed.

1. Plug in NeuroAmp into any available USB port

2. Wait for the "Found New Hardware Wizard" to appear

3. If the Wizard asks you to connect to Windows update select "No Not This Time" and click "Next".

4. Choose "Install from a list or specific location" and then click "Next".

5. Check the box marked "Include this location in the search" and then press "Browse"

6. Browse "My Computer" > "Local Disk C" > "Program Files" > "Cygnet" then Select "Neuroamp_Drivers" and press "OK"

7. Press "Next" to install from the specified location.

8. You will get a "has not passed Windows Certification Logo Testing" warning box. Simply click "Continue Anyway".

9. Click "Finish" to continue on to the next part of the installation.

10. The "Add New Hardware Wizard" will come up a second time. This is normal and expected as the NeuroAmp requires 2 sets of drivers. Repeat steps above to complete drivers installation.

11. Review the following articles below to find what COM Port your USB NeuroAmp is assigned to.

12. Open Cygnet software and configure the COM Port to match the one assigned to your NeuroAmp. Cygnet will ask you to set Com Port the first time you open it. Click OK after assigning COM Port .


Troubleshooting:

-If Cygnet does not accept the COM Port you are giving it after trying multiple times, please check that you have placed batteries in the NeuroAmp.
